Breast Augmentation
Your incisions will be made in inconspicuous areas to minimize visible scarring. You and Dr. Emory will discuss which incision options are appropriate for your desired outcome. Incision options include inframammary, transaxillary and periareolar. Incisions vary based on the type of implant, degree of enlargement desired, your particular anatomy, and patient-surgeon preference.
Breast Reduction
Large, pendulous breasts may cause a woman to potentially experience various medical problems caused by the excessive weight of the breast tissue. Problems with posture, skeletal deformities, back and neck pain, skin irritations, and numbness in the fingers are common with this condition.
Male Breast Reduction
Although rarely discussed, enlarged male breasts is a common condition. Gynecomastia affects approximately 40 to 60 percent of men. There is no known cause for gynecomastia, although there has been some correlation with various drugs or medical conditions.
Breast Reconstruction
Reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy due to cancer or other disease is quite possible with today’s surgical procedures. The procedure is covered by insurance carriers after breast cancer. Using the newest medical techniques, Dr. Emory is often able to create a breast that is similar in form and appearance to that of the natural breast.
Breast Lift
A breast lift can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence by raising and reshaping saggy misshapen breasts. Factors such as aging, pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity all stretch the skin and supportive ligaments of the breasts. As a result, the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts lose their shape and firmness, and begin to sag.
